History of the Race
The Easter Beach Run was established in 1967 by the Daytona Beach Leisure Services Department. First held on Easter Sunday afternoon to provide an activity for visiting college students, this event has developed into one of the favorite fun races in Northeast Florida. Now held on April 19, Easter Saturday, this is our 47th year.

Commemorative race shirts will be available for all pre-registered runners and walkers. Shirt size requests are not guaranteed. Shirts not guaranteed for race day registration. Shirt, and bib (number), pick-up will be at the Breakers Oceanfront Park Building adjacent to the pier on race day, beginning at 7:00 AM.
2 & 4 Mile Races
2014 custom “finisher” medals for the FIRST 1,100 runners and walkers completing the race.
Awards for Top Male and Female Finisher (2m & 4m)
Awards for 1st Place Male and Female in each age group 3-11yrs, 12-14yrs and then each 5 years from 15yrs to 75yrs+.
Each “Kids Race” participant receives a participant medal!
Award Ceremonies will be held following each race at Breakers Oceanfront Park. Results will be available on-line beginning race day at CLICK HERE
Awards not picked up race day may be picked up weekdays at the CODB Leisure Services Administrative office for 30 days after the race. Awards will be mailed if requested with a $10 check to CODB-EBR, Leisure Services, 301 S. Ridgewood Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
All events will be run at low tide on the hard-packed sands of Daytona Beach. All races will start at the Daytona Beach Pier running north for half of the distance and return. There will be large digital clocks at the turn around and at the finish. Health Walk starts behind 2 Mile Runners. There will be a large digital clock at the turn-around and finish.
Participants need to walk from Breakers Oceanfront Park down to the Daytona Beach Pier beach starting area.

8:30 AM: 4 mile Race (all ages, teams welcome)
9:45 AM: 2 mile Race & Fun Health Walk (all ages)
10:30AM: Kids Races
50 yards (3-5 years)
100 yards (6-7 years)
1/4 mile (8-9 years)
Parking is available in the Ocean Center Garage, across from the Ocean Walk Shoppes. Additional parking includes City of Daytona Beach lots, metered spots on nearby city streets, and in private lots near Main Street.
